February SNAP Benefits
USDA approved February emergency SNAP allotments in both North and South Carolina as follows:
- NC: An estimated 469,000 North Carolina households will receive emergency allotments totaling $88 million (up from January’s emergency allotments of $81.7 million to 446,900 households). Households will begin receiving these benefits starting February 22. Benefits will extend through March 3 because of the short month. Source: USDA Food and Nutrition Service
- SC: An estimated 286,000 South Carolina households will receive emergency benefits totaling $37.6 million (a small increase from January’s emergency allotments of $36.7 million to 201,700 households).
