Belk boosts SMS opt-in rates with 125th anniversary promotion

Regional retailer Belk celebrated turning 125 this year with a campaign that featured daily giveaways and convinced 13.1% of the sweepstakes registrants to opt-in to receive promotional texts. “We were also pleased with the social engagement, with Pinterest followers doubling from around 7,000 to around 15,000, and Facebook registrations hitting over 37,000,” said Sara Kowal, vice president of innovation for campaign partner ePrize.
